Twitter has appointed three new leaders in its consumer division. Its purpose is to oversee the development of new features and services.
Jay Sullivan, former Product Director at The Virtual and Augmented Reality Unit at Facebook, is trusted as Twitter's Vice President of Consumer Products. This information was disclosed by Kayvon Beykpour, General Manager of Twitter in chirping.
Meanwhile, the Head of Consumer Design is Anita Butler who now leads several design teams that focus on privacy and improving the security of Twitter conversations.
Twitter said Arnaud Weber would head up engineering in its consumer division. Previously, he led the engineering section of the team responsible for increasing revenue through digital advertising sales and data licensing.
With this new lead they aim to reach 315 million daily users by the end of 2023, up from 217 million today.
Over the past year, Twitter has been mining a number of new features such as Spaces, audio chat, and communities to allow users to group the same interests as music in an effort to surpass 280 character posts.
