Beware of Deception! This Game Becomes a Hoax for Ukraine's Kiev Ghost Pilot

 


Recently, a video has circulated showing Ukrainian fighter planes piloted by the ghost of Kiev, massacring dozens of Russian jets. But in reality, the footage is a hoax. This video is from a game called Digital Combat Simulator (DCS) World. So what game is this?

Based on our search results from various sources, Saturday (5/3/2022), DCS World itself is an old title by Eagle Dynamics SA. This game was published exclusively for PC gamers, on March 18, 2018 on Steam. This game is also included in the Free to Play category, however, it takes up quite a large storage capacity of more than 95GB.


DCS World carries the concept of a simulator-style shooting game. So here, players will assume the role of a pilot and drive a fighter jet, while destroying enemy planes.


Sky vehicle presented by the developer, designed with great care. Starting from presenting the P-51 of the Second World War era, to contemporary Sukhoi. Not only that, this title also presents a number of attack helicopters as well as for ordinary transportation.


Well, the game is indeed offered for free. It's just that gamers can enjoy a lot of Downloadable Content (DLC). Of course there is a price to pay if you want to enjoy this additional content. The price starts from Rp. 241 thousand to more than Rp. 1.2 million.

Previously, a viral video on Twitter, told about the Ghost of Kyiv or the Ghost of Kiev. He is a mysterious pilot who massacred dozens of Russian fighter jets.


The post was shared by the blue ticked @Ukraine account. The account says the pilot became the first ace since World War II, flying a MiG-29.


However, based on a deeper search by several parties, the conclusions obtained regarding photos and videos on social media are false. Even so, is it true that there were ace pilots in the Ukrainian Air Force and downed dozens of Russian fighter jets?


Meanwhile, the Ukrainian Ministry of Defense itself is still silent. They have not provided any confirmation regarding the Ghost of Kiev to the media. But indeed many of their veteran pilots who came down the mountain to fight against Russia.


"Dozens of experienced military pilots, from captains to generals who have been retired, have rejoined the Air Force. Who knows, maybe one of them is the MiG-29 pilot who is often watched by the people of Kiev," said the Ukrainian Ministry of Defense, referring to the Kiev Ghost.
