Google Translate on iOS Has Its Own Widget

If you're an iOS device user who frequently uses Google Translate, Google just released an update to the app that gives it the ability to act as a widget on the iOS home screen.

With this widget, users will have quick access to certain features such as camera mode which allows users to translate text they may find in images, such as photos, menus, signage, and so on.

It also allows users to launch a conversation mode, which for those unfamiliar allows two people to speak two different languages and translate them into another language in real-time.

It's actually quite useful to have Google Translate as a widget, especially since newer versions of iOS allow users to place widgets directly on the home screen.

This makes it easier for users to access, especially if they may be traveling abroad and need to be able to quickly access translation tools without having to launch the app every time.

It saves a few user steps so while it may not be the most innovative update, it's a nice quality of life improvement that we're sure some users will be able to appreciate.

Launching from Ubergizmo, Monday (14/3/2022) this update can be downloaded for the latest version on the App Store.
