During the Corona pandemic, Bill Gates was often the target of conspiracy theories. From allegations that he started the Corona pandemic to that the Corona vaccine he funded contained a microchip to track people who were injected.
Now, such rumors have begun to subside since the Corona pandemic began to spread in various parts of the world, including Indonesia. However, the founder of Microsoft still seems to be uneasy about the various allegations addressed to him.
At a recent TED conference where he appeared as one of the speakers, Bill Gates insisted that he and his foundation only wanted to save people's lives while helping develop the Corona vaccine, and had no intention of any sort.
"Our foundation, the Gates Foundation, is very involved in vaccine development, new vaccine discovery, vaccine funding, and we are very proud that through joint efforts, we have saved tens of millions of lives," Bill Gates was quoted as saying by Newsweek on Friday (29/4 /2022).
It is unfortunate if anyone rejects the vaccine and believes in conspiracy theories against it. For example, by planting a microchip to track someone, he thinks it's ridiculous.
"So it's ironic that there are people who reject vaccines and say we use vaccines to kill people or to make money or we started this pandemic," he added.
"There are even weird things like I somehow want to track the location of individuals because I really want to know where everyone is. I'm not sure what I'm going to do with that information," Bill Gates said jokingly.
