How to Use Google Maps Offline for Eid Homecoming

Of course, many travelers rely on Google Maps for this 2022 Eid homecoming. Indeed, even though Google Maps is free, the directions are accurate and reliable. Then, how to use Google Maps offline?

Yes, besides being used online, you have to be connected to the internet, Google Maps can also be used offline and doesn't need a connection. This is certainly useful if travelers are traveling to places where internet is slow, data rates are expensive, or there is no connection.

Don't worry, you can save areas from Google Maps to your phone or tablet and use them offline in a hassle-free way. Here's a guide to using Google Maps offline:

- Open Google Maps, click your profile picture or initial account button in the search bar on the far right, next to the microphone.

- From the menu that appears, select offline maps, then select the location you want to download. The wider the selected area, the more data will be downloaded.

- Google Maps will download the map according to the selected area. To save data, you can download it using WiFi.

You can get directions offline, but not with public transit, cycling, or walking directions. You will not get traffic information, alternative routes, or lane guidance.

Then if the homecoming event is over and the offline Google Maps data is too large, it can be deleted immediately. The method is as follows:

- Open Google Maps, click your profile picture or initial account button in the search bar on the far right, next to the microphone.

- Select the offline maps menu (offline maps)

- Tap the map you want to delete
