The Huawei MatePad will land on the market on April 12, 2022 along with the MateBook D14 and D15. The following are the specifications and features offered.
MatePad carries a 10.4-inch IPS screen with 2K resolution and natural tone support. Thanks to the thin bezel, the screen to body reaches 84%.
This new Huawei tablet has won double certification from TÜV Rheinland Low Blue Light and Flicker Free which is able to minimize the impact of screen radiation on the eyes, providing comprehensive protection for eye comfort when operating the tablet in various lighting conditions.
Huawei provides four speakers that are given a touch of Harman Kardon. In addition, three microphones are embedded with all-around noise-cancellation technology for noise reduction.
If I use this MatePad for online meetings, I don't have to worry about the sound I hear and emit. Because with noise cancellation, people who hear my voice are filtered by noise on the back screen. Likewise when I hear people, because the audio is very capable.
The kitchen is powered by a Kirin 710A and runs HarmonyOS 2.0. Huawei also provides a 7,250 mAh battery which is claimed to be used for 12 hours non-stop to play 1080p resolution videos. Plus, the MatePad supports 22.5W SuperCharge for a full charge in 2.5 hours.
A 13 MP camera is mounted on the back. While on the front, an 8 MP camera is installed which promises to be bright when used in online meetings.
No less interesting, a series of features are provided by Huawei to help user productivity later. MatePad brings a new desktop design for ease of use.
Just swipe one icon displays a wider menu. I can also use a mouse like a PC, there are menus and cursors. That's why we call this MatePad offering a PC like experience.
In addition, there is Multi-Window which makes operation easier by opening up to 4 different application windows simultaneously, as well as App-Multiplier to handle most applications that do not support landscape mode when opened on the tablet screen.
Like the MateBook D14 and D15, this device supports Super Device, allowing users to move documents between the two devices with just drag and drop, and is able to increase efficiency through control of various hardware devices directly from the tablet. Don't miss the Mirror Mode, Extend Mode, and Collaboration Mode options when connected to a PC.
The MatePad also supports the second-generation Huawei M-Pencil. Users use this stylus for Annote, namely correcting or taking notes on existing files directly anywhere and anytime. There's also the ability to take pictures and edit them, and FreeScript converts handwriting to text.
So just write it on MatePad later it will change into standard text form, very practical and very helpful.
