Sony has finally revealed the new PlayStation Plus subscription fee which consists of three tiers, including the date of its presence in the market.
The new PlayStation Plus is a combination of two Sony subscription services, namely PlayStation Plus and PlayStation Now. Then, the service is similar to Xbox Game Pass, where customers only need to pay a subscription fee to be able to play the games in the catalog, without the need to buy the game.
PlayStation Plus Essential
This tier is the same as the current PlayStation Plus. Subscribers can get access to online multiplayer, two free games that can be downloaded each month, discounted games, and cloud storage.
The subscription fee is USD10.74 per month / USD15.87 per three months / USD38.75 per year
PlayStation Plus Extra
In this tier, customers will get everything in the Essential tier, plus 400 PS4 or PS5 games that can be downloaded and played.
The rate is USD9.36 per month / USD26.27 per three months / USD64.81 per year.
PlayStation Plus Deluxe
This tier is specifically available in countries that do not support cloud streaming. While in countries that support cloud streaming, the tier name is PlayStation Plus Premium. In addition to containing all the advantages of Essential and Extra, there are also a number of PlayStation, PS2 and PSP games that can be downloaded and played, customers can also taste new games within a certain time duration.
The rate is USD10.74 / USD30.15 quarterly / USD74.52 per year.
Playstation Plus Premium
Tier Plus Premium is not available in the market because it does not support cloud streaming. In this tier with the most expensive tariff, customers can play an additional 240 games from the PS3, PS, PS2 and PSP game catalog. Then the games in the previous tiers can also be played via cloud streaming, aka without the need to download them first.
Sony promises a number of flagship game titles such as Death Stranding, God of War, Marvel's Spider-Man, Marvel's Spider-Man: Miles Morales, Mortal Kombat 11, and Returnal since this service is available on May 23, 2022 on the market.
Oh yes, current PS Plus customers can also 'upgrade' to the latest PS Plus later, by paying the difference in tariffs according to the remaining duration of the remaining PS Plus package.
