During The Truth Nothing event organized last month, they had disrupted the presence of Nothing Phone (1). Along with that, the Nothing OS operating system, the Nothing launcher and their product promise to have an easy-to-use ecosystem together were also announced.
While awaiting the arrival of their first device, today Nothing has launched their custom launcher for select Android devices.
It is a basic launcher that offers one wallpaper and three widgets. The widgets offered are weather and two for clock displays, both of which support dark themes. The launcher can also install third-party icons, others are still not possible including resizing the grid, app tray, color or home screen layout.
This Nothing launcher can be said to be nothing special. However, in the future, Nothing OS will offer a custom-designed theme, ringtones based on the sounds of vintage technology and its own animation as well as some adaptive and moving elements.
The launcher is said to be limited to select devices like Samsung Galaxy S22/S21 and Google Pixel 6/Pixel 5 only. But some sources state that the OnePlus 10 Pro has no problem supporting it, as well as some Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 devices with Android 12 in the our lab have no problem installing it.
