Mac users often say Final Cut Pro (FCP) is the best video editing software. Its popularity has exploded lately as it is used by artists on YouTube and social media. But its use is still limited among professional production companies because FCP does not have the range of features required by the industry compared to Avid and Premiere Pro.
An open letter has been issued by professional FCP users to Apple to ensure better industry support is provided. Apple has issued an official response to this booklet with some guarantees.
They will set up a panel of industry experts to provide consultations next summer. Training products will also be provided with an official certificate from Apple. Also to be enhanced is the holding of workshops for film and TV series creators.
