"Mendocino" Is A Laptop Processing Chip By AMD That Will Be Introduced Around The End Of This Year

AMD has just introduced the AMD Ryzen 7000 series of processing chips for desktop computers which are seen to not only come with great overtime-clock capabilities, but also support a number of new computer technologies such as DDR5 memory support as well as PCIe 5.0 data transmission technology.

During their COMPUTEX keynote speech, AMD CEO, Dr. Lisa Su also said that AMD will be showcasing a processing chip for their latest laptop that comes with the code name “Mendocino”.

The initial introduction of this “Mendocino” processing chip is that it was developed using a 6nm process by TSMC and will come with a four -core and eight -threaded power supply based on the Zen 2 processing chip with a combination of AMD RDNA 2 graphics chips.

Further details about this processing chip are not known yet for now, but AMD also promises that laptops that use this chip can typically enjoy a battery life of around 10 hours without any problems.

In the meantime, laptops with "Mendocino" processing chip will also be introduced in the market around the fourth quarter of this year, and will be seen in most mainstream laptop models such as daily productivity laptops, thin and light models and so on.
