The discussion of life beyond Earth is no longer a foreign topic. But what about life in the bowels of the Earth? This place is believed to be the place where Gog and Magog will appear at the end of time.
Agartha is believed to be a city or kingdom on Earth inhabited by alien beings with advanced civilizations. This legend arose because in ancient times, people believed that the Earth was empty and filled with people of different races.
The inhabitants of Agartha are believed to have the same form as people on the surface in general, but they have become humans with perfect intelligence. Their lives are more harmonious.
Agartha herself is said to be often mentioned in several religious teachings, some people also believe in the existence of a hidden place that contains creatures. Some believe that the Agarthas are Yakjuj Makjuj or Gog Magog in Islam, Christianity and Judaism.
Now in science, this belief seems to be supported by a theory called 'Hollow Earth' or a hollow Earth. Edmond Halley, an astronomer and geophysicist, in 1962 suggested that the Earth may have a depth of 800 km and consist of two spherical shells and a core. Between the plates there is a vacuum, as quoted from the New York Post.
This theory was supported by John Cleves Symmes Jr in the 19th century. Symmes believes that the north and south poles each have holes that can lead humans into Earth, as stated in the article reviewed by Atlas Obscura as seen on Thursday (8/6/2022).
Even so, the teachings of science refute this theory. Geological researchers based on research say that the Earth's surface to the core is 6,371 km. The earth is not immediately empty.
Although excavations of the Earth are not deep enough to be able to prove in detail the contents beneath the Earth's surface, in 2013, geological researchers found information that the Earth's core has a temperature of 6,000 degrees Celsius or 1,000 degrees hotter than the surface of the Sun.
