One of the biggest game exhibitions in the world, namely the Electronic Entertainment Expo (E3), was canceled this year. The event is confirmed to be shifted to 2023, and is being held online and offline.
"I think there's room for physical performances, I also think there's the importance of having digital reach. Combining the two, I think there's an important element of what we think E3 can deliver," said Stanley Pierre-Louis, President and CEO of ESA. us from the Washington Post, Wednesday (8/6/2022).
According to Louis, no matter how many people like a digital event, a physical event is still needed. According to him, their desire is to get together, connect directly, see each other and talk about what makes a game great.
In fact, initially the organizers planned that this exhibition would be presented face-to-face, after not being realized in 2020 and being replaced online in 2021. This happened, none other than because of COVID-19 which still haunts people around the world.
Then E3 itself, previously had said that the cancellation of physical events in 2022, would be changed to online. But unfortunately, after being re-confirmed, the digital event was also not present and the two officially changed the schedule to 2023.
The cancellations set the stage for another video game festival, set to take place during 2022. Among them will be the Summer Game Fest, then a special exhibition from Nintendo titled Nintendo Direct and PlayStation's State of Plays.
The Summer Game Fest will be held from 9 - 13 June 2022. The event itself will be broadcast live, through their official Youtube and Twitch accounts.
In addition, it can also be enjoyed on social media or streaming platforms of each publisher. Where there are at least 30 partners who have registered and participated in this event.
Some of them are Xbox, Bethesda, PlayStation, 2K, Activision, Atlus, Bandai Namco, Capcom, Electronic Arts and many more. It's just that, if the broadcast time is converted to Indonesia, then fans can watch it on June 10, 2022, around 01.00 WIB.
