Elon Musk is meeting Twitter employees for the first time virtually. Although he is still in the process of buying Twitter, this South African-born man seems to have brought a nightmare to his employees.
First, Elon Musk implied that there would be layoffs on Twitter. Musk said there needed to be a rationalization of the number of employees and company spending.
"Currently, costs exceed revenue. Anyone who is a significant contributor (employee-ed) shouldn't have to worry," he said.
Then if later you control Twitter, the possibility of the WFH or Work From Home system will be much more limited. As is known, quoted by Forbes, Elon Musk prefers employees to work in offices only.
Elon Musk says Twitter employees should be more inclined to work in the office, but he is willing to make some exceptions. "I support working directly (in the office), but if someone is doing great, then working from home is fine," Musk said.
Thus, Elon Musk seems to have whipped Twitter employees to work harder and maintain their performance. This needs to be done to avoid layoffs and also can still work from home if they want.
Previously reported, the richest man in the world asked Tesla employees to return to work in the office or leave the company. He stated that employees who want to work remotely must come to the office at least 40 hours a week.
“Anyone who wants to work remotely has to be in the office at least (and I mean *minimum*) 40 hours per week or leave Tesla. This is less than we ask factory employees,” Elon Musk said in an email.
