Elon Musk once said that Tesla wants to build a car charging station that also doubles as a drive-thru restaurant and cinema in 2018. Recently a design plan for the station was filed in California for approval before being built. The mocking image of this station has already been shared by @HowardModels to give a real picture when it is completed.
This Supercharge station will have space for 29 Tesla vehicles. The restaurant building is round in shape as high as two floors. On the outside of the restaurant there is a screen that will project a movie so that Tesla users who are charging the car can get a source of entertainment.
The idea of changing a charging station that can also function as a restaurant is not a new idea. Audi, for example, has opened a charging station with a cafe built since last year. With the proliferation of electric cars, support infrastructure needs to be built immediately to avoid the problem of cars stalling due to running out of charge.
