Apple is gradually turning the iPad into an alternative to the Mac. Most recently, through iPadOS 16, Apple continues to add and provide new experiences in managing multiple applications - while increasing productivity when using their tablets.
One of them is the Stage Manager feature. As on macOS, on iPadOS, users can manage multiple tasks and group a number of applications under the same access. It is then quickly accessible on the left side. With this step, it makes you more efficient and manage your multi-tasks.
Anyway, this Stage Manager is limited to iPad Pro and iPad Air with Apple M1 chip only.
iPadOS also now offers a desktop -class app experience. In addition, it offers more integration with other Apple devices - including allowing you to answer FaceTime calls on nearby Apple devices.
The Safari app on the iPad has also been updated to include features such as Shared Tab Groups that facilitate collaboration. Passkey features are also included to facilitate password storage. Apple also facilitates collaboration among iPad users through a new app called Freeform - which also supports Apple Pencil input, while making video calls via FaceTime.
iPadOS 16 is expected to be offered to a number of iPads as early as September or October.
