Last October, Oppo had expressed its intention to develop its factory in Indonesia. Now that the plan has been realized, the new factory in the Bayur area, Tangerang is officially established.
"Currently we are in the preparation period for the operation of a new factory located in Bayur, Tangerang. We are currently arranging various transfers from the old factory for workers, production equipment and also taking care of various legal aspects," said Aryo Meidianto, PR Manager of Oppo Indonesia.
Regarding its new factory, until now Oppo has not recruited new employees to fill the factory in Bayur. Many important things need to be done to ensure this new plant can be up and running smoothly.
Aryo explained, his party first moved various kinds of production equipment. These various equipment are not only physically moved but must be rearranged and various calibrations are carried out in order to produce and provide maximum results.
In addition to equipment, Oppo will also gradually move workers who were previously in the old factory. The transfer of workers was not easy, the workers had to make various adjustments to the new environment.
It doesn't stop there, there are several legal requirements that still need to be handled by the government so that this factory is not expected to be fully operational in the near future.
"We ask for support from various parties in the country so that Oppo's new factory located in Bayur can immediately operate. The establishment of this new factory proves Oppo's commitment to support a better industrial ecosystem and also support economic recovery in Indonesia," concluded Aryo.
It is known that Oppo itself had built a factory in Tangerang in 2014 with an area of 2.7 hectares. The assembly plant is located in the Mauk area, Tangerang, Banten.
