The sky will be the arrival of the Strawberry Full Moon phenomenon (Full Strawberry Supermoon) June 14, 2022. Astronomers warn to anticipate the dangers of high tides.
"As with the full moon phase and the new moon phase in general, the tides are higher than normal days.
This high tide is also known as the full moon. This is because the Sun-Earth-Moon (or Sun-Moon-Earth) configuration is aligned and causes each of the differential forces (tidal forces) exerted by the Moon and Sun to be in the same direction.
The direction of the differential force is a pair, facing / in the same direction and back / opposite direction to the object that causes the force.
Even though the configuration of the Moon is in the opposite direction to the Sun as when there is a full moon, it is this same differential force that makes the resultant/total differential force generated greater than the new tides, i.e. when the configuration is in the early and late new/quartic phases when the Sun-Earth-Moon form a right angle or 90 degrees.
In general, the differential force of a full moon is 27%-36% greater than during a neap tide (when compared at the same distance). This configuration is also reinforced by the Moon reaching its closest point to Earth during a Super Strawberry Full Moon, with a force increase of about 25.5% of the differential force at the Earth-Moon average distance.
Thus, it is necessary to watch out for the highest sea tides on June 14 and it is advised for those who work as fishermen not to go to sea between two days before and two days after the peak of this phenomenon, which is between June 12-16,
He added that this calculation only considers astronomical factors and does not include consideration of sea waves caused by wind storms.
