TikTok Avatars was launched today with a feature allowing users to create 3D -dimensional face avatars that can replace their actual faces in videos. This feature is very similar to the Memoji introduced by Apple since 2017.
According to TikTok with Avatars users can finally highlight their personalities freely. There is a wide selection of hair types, accessories, jewelry and facial makeup that users can choose from on Avatars as a self -replacement.
The feature is starting to be given in stages to all users starting today by accessing the Effects tab in the app. Do a TikTok Avatars search and select this filter. Then customize the face of your avatar through the options provided. Avatars do not use 3D face scanning technology such as Memoji and we realize that face animation is not very accurate.
