Xiaomi is not only famous for their affordable smartphones with attractive specifications. They are also known for their wide range of smart home products, various accessories and even Android TV set boxes and dongles.
Xiaomi’s latest set box recently launched in China is the Mi Box 4s MAX. It is powered by a 64-bit Amlogic S905X3 four-core processing chip with matching 4GB of RAM and 64GB of internal storage. It is also among the set boxes that come with an HDMI 2.1 port, can display 4K and 8K content as well as support HDR dynamic display.
For audio, this set box supports Dolby and DTS, WiFi, as well as broadcast from the phone to the TV screen. Mi Box 4s MAX also has Mijia app for smart home control, XiaoAI digital assistant support, remote control and running MIUI for TV.
For now only the Chinese version has been announced, not sure whether a global version with Android TV or Google TV will be launched or not. In China, Mi Box 4s MAX is sold at RMB 499, which is around RM328.
