CIMB today introduced a new generation application for mobile banking, named CIMB Octo. For now, the CIMB Octo app only offers limited features, and it is expected that other features will be added gradually.
CIMB itself aims for the full version of the application to be introduced in the first half of 2023.
Apart from the mobile application, CIMB also stated that they will introduce a web version of CIMB Octo in 2023 after the mobile version is complete with various features.
For now, more attention is paid to the mobile version because it is the one most used by users – in line with today's lifestyle.
CIMB has also not given any definite date regarding whether CIMBClicks will also be shut down in a year or two when CIMB Octo is fully completed.
