Ministry of Education Introduces Bullying Complaint Portal

The Malaysian Ministry of Education today introduced the Bullying Complaint Portal, making it easier for students, victims or parents to report any incidents of bullying at school.

With this step, complaints will be channeled directly to the Ministry of Education, before the next step is taken. Apart from through a dedicated portal, the public can also make a complaint through a special line (03-88849352), in addition to emailing adubuli@moe.gov.my.

MoE says the complainant's information will be kept confidential if they wish. It was also emphasized that the MoE does not compromise on the issue of bullying, and the school was also instructed not to hide cases of bullying at school.

This year alone, the MoE has convicted 122 cases of bullying - that is between January and July.
