Motorola Razr 2022 and Motorola X30 Pro should be launched today. But at the last moment Motorola's Weibo page announced that the event had been cancelled. No reason was given as to why this happened but speculations say it is closely related to the tense situation between China and Taiwan after reports surfaced that US secretary Nancy Pelosi would visit Taiwan.
The plane carrying Pelosi took off from Subang International Airport this afternoon and is now in Philippine airspace. With it still continuing its journey north, the visit that Beijing warned the Joe Biden administration is believed to continue.
China has been conducting several military exercises in Fujian, near the Taiwan Strait for the past few days with the United States sending an aircraft carrier to East Taiwan today.
The delay in the launch of this device is disappointing as the Razr 2022 is Motorola's first flagship foldable device and the X30 Pro is believed to be the first phone with a 200MP camera.
