Samsung Cuts 2022 Phone Production Target – Lower Than 2021 Level

 

Samsung has now reportedly reduced its smartphone production target for 2022. Initially, Samsung targeted the production of 300 million phone units throughout 2022.

However, now according to TheElec report, Samsung is said to be aiming for only 260 million units for the year 2022.

This latest figure is quite surprising, because it is below the production figure in 2021, which is 270 million units.

This may be due to the uncertain global economy, and inflation in most countries. Supply chain disruptions are also seen as contributing to the reduction in sales targets for 2022.

For now, according to early reports, only Apple has not reduced its device sales target for 2022.
