The Adidas RPT-02 SOL was launched today with the unique feature of being rechargeable using solar power. With the included battery, Adidas says these headphones can be used for up to 80 hours non-stop.
The Powerfoyle solar panel is placed on the head caliper and it is almost invisible because it is not the type of solar panel that is commonly seen. The connection to the device is done via bluetooth without the support of a wired connection. These headphones are of the classic open type with a sponge covering the audio driver.
There is an application that will show the battery level as well as the level of charging power through the solar panel. Batteries can be recharged using sunlight and even lamps. For faster charging, there is a USB-C connection.
In addition, these headphones are also made from recycled plastic materials. Finally, it can be used for sports because it passes the IPX4 waterproof level. A pair of Adidas RPT-02 SOL sells for $229 (~RM1023) a pair.
