Snapchat Family Center Introduced For Parents To Monitor Their Children's Interactions With Other Users

There is no denying that the use of social media applications for children is dangerous if not monitored by parents. For that, Snapchat now comes with Family Center for parents or guardians to monitor their child's activity on Snapchat.

Snapchat Family Center allows parents to see who their children are communicating with on Snapchat. But they cannot read the messages sent and received. This feature also requires parents to send invitations to their children's accounts and the children have to accept them.

The data displayed is the interaction of children and other users in the last seven days. Parents can only report to Snap's trust and safety team and cannot clearly monitor what conversations are being discussed in the app.

Snapchat will also add tools for parents to control what content their children can see. This Snapchat Family Center will be distributed in a few weeks.
