Sony Reveals PS4 Game Controller on iPhone, this is the price

Sony together with Backbone, announced a new controller. Maneet Khaira, CEO of Backbone, stated that this hardware is titled Backbone One - PlayStation Edition, for iPhone users.

"The look and feel of the PlayStation Edition Backbone One, brought to life by our collaborative design team, with the brilliant minds at PlayStation. Colors, materials, and elegant finishes are all inspired by the PS5's DualSense design," said Khaira, quoted by us from PlayStation official website, Tuesday (2/8/2022).

In terms of appearance, it seems true that Khaira is referring to a reference carried over from the PS5 stick. Clearly visible, the combination of white on the side of the body and black on the analog and buttons R1 + L1.

"Backbone One is becoming something important for PlayStation to play on iPhone. If you have access to broadband internet and a PS5 or PS4 console, plug your iPhone into Backbone One and start playing your PS5 and PS4 games right away with the power of the PS Remote Play app," said Khaira.

He added, because this controller is connected to the iPhone, it does not need to be charged. So the power requirement depends on the mobile device itself.

Khaira explained, Backbone One - PlayStation Edition will be available in the United States, Canada, Mexico, Australia, New Zealand, Germany, France, Italy, Spain, Sweden, the Netherlands and the UK. He said that in the future more countries would be targeted.

When referring to the sales site, this controller is priced at UUSD 99.99. Well, in addition to offering white as a base, they also provide black throughout.

However, it is not only specifically intended to try out games made by PlayStation. However, it is also given the freedom, to be able to enjoy the Xbox Game Pass Ultimate service, or even live streaming from Xbox and PC gamers.

Based on the information presented, Backbone One - PlayStation Edition only provides adapters for the iPhone 13 Pro and 13 Pro Max. So it is still unknown whether it will also support previous versions of the iPhone.
