Tenaga Nasional Berhad (TNB) has now stated that they will provide charging ports for electric vehicles along the north-south highway, PLUS. This matter, has already been shared by TNB at the beginning of this year, through the announcement of cooperation with PLUS.
In addition to PLUS, TNB is also said to be in discussions with other highway managers, including the federal road authority.
According to the target, TNB says the EV market has a potential demand for around 3,300 charging points by 2025. It is also expected to be increased to 18,000 charging points by 2030.
TNB is also targeting around 500,000 EV vehicles on the road by 2030.
