The development of Web3 technology in Indonesia is accelerating. This time there is a social media-based NFT marketplace that is ready to reach the artist community in Indonesia, its name is Salaca.
The main purpose of Salaca is to be a gathering place for musicians, filmmakers and the artist community in Indonesia to trade their works and also socialize with fans and other communities.
"Salaca is a social media-based NFT marketplace that stands on the web network3. We ourselves are actually going to do a lot and we have also engaged several communities, especially the main community is the community of artists and music. This is what we will embrace to become an ecosystem in Salaca own platform," explained Arief W Kurniawan, CEO of Salaca during the discussion, Tuesday (9/8/2022).
But not only musicians, Salaca users in general can also get money from their posts. Salaca can be said to be the first social media platform in the world to become an NFT marketplace as well.
"So later the users of the Salaca platform will post in the form of everything from photos, videos, and then all digital content will be directly converted into NFT. For example, this photo will directly become NFT, then the video will directly become NFT, like that. That will be a digital asset that they will keep and later it can be used for trading as well. Then it can also be used in various ways, yes later there will be Metaverse projects as well," said Community Developer, Sheila Anastasia on a different occasion.
Salaca itself offers social media with a hybrid concept. Unity between communities that are already accustomed/familiar with Web3 technology and communities that are not yet familiar with Web3.
"The difference with other social media is that all parties who contribute to our platform get benefits. Starting from content creators also get benefits, from the side of users/followers also get benefits because we also release programs such as watch to earn, online to earn, so really everyone who interacts on our social media platform benefits," explained Arief.
"Unity between the community that is already accustomed/familiar with Web3 technology and the community that is not yet familiar with Web3. But we combine this on our one platform. Then also the features that we offer are also not something confusing, meaning that as soon as they register on our platform they can directly act in it like that," he added.
As an initial kick, Salaca has established a partnership with Arena, which is an American Global Entertainment company that used to hold world music concerts. The collaboration between the two will begin in October by holding a short film festival whose registration and works can be seen on the Salaca platform.
"Our pride from Salaca itself, this ARENA will make a movie studio in Bali. Well, the series of events until November is that starting from October we will start a short film festival and that will all be done on our platform that is the first. Then the second, we there will also be music events in Bandung and Yogya. In Bandung, the plan is to make a Rock Music festival with an audience of around 20 thousand spectators. Then for those in Yogya, we will have a music program as well, and that is a combination of music concerts and technology. Well, that's Salaca's contribution on the technology side," explained Arief.
This web platform is currently in testing which will be officially launched in mid-August 2022. Later it will be followed by the launch of the application and will be available for download on the Google Play Store.
