Apple today took the next step in killing off the physical SIM slot, and began focusing entirely on eSIM offerings.
For now, this change is limited to the iPhone 14 series sold in the United States only. While the model is sold in other countries, it still comes with a physical SIM slot.
With this step, it simultaneously allows everything to be managed digitally, in addition to removing the slot and the need to include a special pin with the purchase box.
Perhaps we will see it expanded to other countries in the coming years based on the use of telecommunications in a country.
