Apple Will Warn In iOS16 If Connecting Fake AirPods

These days, there are a number of fake AirPods on the market. Now, Apple is taking steps to combat it, and will start displaying warning notices when users connect these fake AirPods to iPhones.

This change will be implemented through the iOS16 update which is scheduled to be introduced next week for iPhone users.

Through a notice that will be displayed later, it will inform the user that the earphone they are using is a fake version, and it may not work as expected.

The warning will also give the option to not connect the iPhone to the fake AirPods – but users can still connect them.

This warning system is limited to fake AirPods only. Connections using other earphones or headphones will not be displayed with this message.
