More Chinese Device Manufacturers Will Use 1″ Camera Sensors By Late 2022 Into 2023

Camera technology on smartphones is getting better and better. Xiaomi was one of the first to use a large sensor with the Mi 11 Ultra, but has now lost with the Honor Magic4 Ultimate. A few months ago, Xiaomi once tried to break the record by including a 1-inch camera sensor in collaboration with Leica through the Xiaomi 12S Ultra.

Xiaomi also stated that the 1″ Sony IMX989 camera sensor built with Leica will not be exclusive to Xiaomi only and will also be used by competitors. Famous leaker IceUniverse claims that from the end of 2022 to 2023, more Chinese device manufacturers will use this 1-inch camera sensor.

Xiaomi, Oppo, Vivo and Honor are among those who will use this camera sensor and their devices will be marketed more widely globally and not limited to China only. It's just that for now it's still not sure what device will use this sensor.

Xiaomi maybe with the Xiaomi 13 series, Oppo with the Find X series, Vivo with the X90 Pro+ series, and Honor maybe with the Magic5. Anyway, let's all look forward to it.
