Devialet is a brand of premium audio products that produces speakers and TWS that are unique and have different designs from others such as Devialet Dione, which is a soundbar with adjustable audio balls. Devialet is also present with the Euphony airplane seat headrest and has also partnered with Huawei for their TWS and smart speakers.
Most recently, they came up with Devialet Mania – a new portable speaker with a design themed around items from the world of science fiction.
Devialet Mania comes with four full audio drivers and two sub-woofers that promise 360-degree audio. Interestingly, according to Devialet - mania can change the audio profile based on the position of this speaker. This is because the four microphones built into it can tune the audio well, for example if close to the wall the two rear audio drivers can amplify the two drivers in front. This is enabled through the ASC – Active Stereo Calibration system.
SAM - Speaker Active Matching, is a system used to adapt audio signals to produce good audio from low to high frequencies. While the Cross-stereo architecture system ensures that stereo audio can always be achieved regardless of where the speaker is located.
Mania supports WiFi and Bluetooth and can be used via Spotify Connect or AirPlay 2. It is also a smart speaker with Alexa with IPX4 protection and has a USB-C port for charging. the battery can last up to 10 hours at moderate volume and it's also fully controllable with the app.
Devialet Mania can also be fully used without worrying about running out of battery through the Devialet Mania Station, which is its own charging dock. The selling price is $790 (~RM3744) for the speaker with a choice of silver or black, $80 (~RM379) for the charging dock or $990 (~RM4692) for the Devialet Mania Opéra de Paris which comes with a dock and has a gold color option.
