Elon Musk Persuades Content Creators to Move to Twitter, Promises Decent Revenue

Elon Musk has a number of ideas to implement on Twitter, one of which is to become a new home for content creators.

So far, most content creators choose YouTube to create. For example, MrBeast, which in 2021 will receive an income of USD 300 million, as quoted by us from The Guardian, Monday (7/11/2022).

Such a big income because YouTube provides a revenue sharing scheme from large ads for big creators, reaching 55%. It's the revenue-sharing scheme that Musk wants to beat.

In a tweet on his personal account, Musk said he was planning to provide monetization for creators of various forms of content. He also claims to be able to beat the percentage of ad revenue sharing for creators on Twitter.

This idea, according to Musk, he will reveal more detailed information within the next two weeks. Maybe Musk feels the need to move fast because, TikTok is also growing very fast.

Currently, YouTube itself is listed as a platform that can provide the most income for creators compared to other platforms. That is helped by the advertising sales model, profit sharing scheme, and the size of their audience. It's this "cake" that Musk might want to try on Twitter with.

Hiring content creators is one of several steps Musk is taking to boost Twitter's revenue, which he needs to do to recoup Twitter's massive $1 billion annually.

Another step that has been taken at this time is to lay off thousands of Twitter employees. Then he asked Twitter to save on infrastructure costs, such as the cost of renting servers and cloud services. But the most excited is of course the subscription fee of $ 8 per month for users who want to have a blue tick aka account verification
