With the launch of a series of graphics cards such as AMD Radeon RX 7900 XTX and NVIDIA GeForce RTX 4090, these graphics cards are seen to start another new gaming revolution where 8K resolution displays will enter the mainstream.
That's what AMD said when they launched their AMD RDNA 3 series of graphics cards consisting of the AMD Radeon RX 7900 XTX and AMD Radeon RX 7900 XT graphics cards, where they showed a number of games they could run at that resolution.
At the launch event of the graphics card series, AMD showed that their graphics cards are capable of driving displays with high resolutions and refresh rates, such as 4K480FPS and 8K165FPS.
AMD says that a number of 8K displays with high refresh rates will be shown soon, and this includes the latest offering from Samsung, the Samsung Odyssey Neo G9, which will come with support for DisplayPort 2.1 that will allow it to come with ultrawide 8K resolution and will support AMD display technology FreeSync Premium.
Other screen display brands that will be showcasing their offerings include Acer, ASUS, Dell and LG. 8K display models by these brands are also expected to be shown in early 2023.
