AmBank Group announced Apple Pay support for AmBank debit cardholders. Through this initiative, users can now link their debit cards to Apple Pay to make transactions through the MyDebit network.
With this implementation, AmBank becomes the first bank in Malaysia to integrate Apple Pay through the national payment network operated by PayNet. In addition, the addition of MyDebit support complements the existing offering, which is that customers can now use Apple Pay for both AmBank credit and debit cards.
This collaboration allows AmBank MyDebit cardholders to make transactions more easily using Apple Pay whether in physical stores, mobile applications or websites. In addition, AmBank is also launching a limited cashback campaign.
MyDebit customers who use Apple Pay with a minimum spend of RM30 per transaction for three transactions in a month will receive RM30 cashback. This offer is limited to one redemption per customer and is given on a first-come, first-served basis.
