Gentari which is a PETRONAS subsidiary company today launched the first 350kW electric vehicle charger in Southeast Asia. This charger is located at X Park Sunway Serene within the Sungai Way Free Trade Industrial Zone.
There is one 350kW charger, two DC fast chargers and five AC chargers at this charging hub that is open to the public. At X Park, charging can be paid by the minute as well as kWh with it starting from RM 0.10 per minute for AC chargers.
X Park is the first charging hub in Malaysia to receive a license from the Energy Commission which will ensure the safety of users when vehicles are being charged. In addition, Gentari is also building another charging hub at Bangi Golf Resort.
Since its introduction in June 2022, Gentari now has a network of 117 vehicle charging points in 20 locations across Malaysia and 133 charging points in India. By 2026, Gentari aims to install 9000 electric vehicle chargers in Malaysia and India.
