Lancia Relaunched as a Fully Electric Vehicle Brand

 


Lancia is a vehicle brand with quite a distinguished pedigree in the rally sport arena. The Stratos, 037 and Delta are three Lancia rally vehicles known to fans of the sport for their iconic design and dominance on the circuit. After being taken over by Fiat, the Lancia brand sank and currently only sells one gasoline-powered compact car model.



But under the umbrella of the giant Stellantis, Lancia is now relaunched as a luxury electric vehicle brand. At the Lancia Design Day event, the company's new logo design and direction were announced to the media. Starting in 2024, Lancia will release an electric version of the Ypsilon and two years after that the Delta EV will also be electric.


Lancia's first three electric cars will take inspiration from the Lancia Pu+Ra Zero sculpture concept that was also shown at the Design Day event. The sculpture of this car looks like a spaceship and an aerodynamic airplane giving an idea of ​​the EV vehicle design that Lancia will release next.



Lancia is not the only company under Stellantis to step into the EV arena. Dodge and Jeep are among those that have previously announced electric versions of their iconic RAM and Charger vehicles.
