Last year Patreon shared that they would offer a service to host video content natively. With this feature users no longer need to put videos on YouTube or Vimeo for exclusive content. Today Patreon Video was finally announced as their native video hosting service.
Through this service, users of Pro and Premium accounts will be given storage space of up to 500 hours which can be used until the end of 2023. After that date Patreon will finally announce the fee for the video hosting service offered. In addition to uploading videos at HD resolution, there is a Preview feature that allows short clips to be viewed by users who can provide support.
With this Patreon Video feature, Patreon hopes that the process of sharing videos exclusively or in advance can be done directly by content producers more easily and without advertising.
