The Røde NT-USB was launched a decade ago and quickly became the microphone of choice for those looking to do studio-quality recording at home. It is the choice for podcast recording because of its good audio quality. This week the Røde NT-USB+ was launched as an updated model.
It now has a built-in preamp and DSP to provide better audio recording quality than previous models. This targets musicians, podcast producers, and video game streamers. With a microphone in place, low-frequency audio and background noise can be filtered out for cleaner-sounding audio recordings.
Connection is via a USB-C cable so it can be used on computers, tablets and smartphones. There is a connection for headphones so that recorded audio can be heard clearly while the microphone is in use. The Røde NT-USB+ sells for $229 (~RM1043) each with a desk stand and a wind filter for the microphone.
