Rumors that Samsung will use a larger external screen on its clamshell-type foldable phone can be said to have been heard many times. This includes the latest generation, the Galaxy Z Flip4 which still maintains the same outer and inner screen as the previous Galaxy Z Flip3.
Nevertheless, the same rumors are once again heard for the upcoming updated model. Citing one of the tips of the CEO of Display Supply Chain Consultant, Ross Young, there are some important changes that will be made in the upcoming Samsung Galaxy Z Flip 5.
The device is believed to come with a larger external screen with a display size between 3.3-inches to 3.4-inches. If true, this is a significant change compared to the 1.9-inch external screen used on the current Galaxy Z Flip 4. In the meantime, the hinge support will also be improved with a brand new design, in addition to being believed to be able to reduce the issue of the existence of creases on the inner screen.
No information on the specifications and specific launch date is known so far. What we can expect, the clamshell foldable smartphone segment should become more interesting in the near future. It follows the increasing number of options that will be provided for users, for example the Oppo Find N2 Flip that has gone viral recently.
