Google Photos is Testing a New Search Feature – Search for Face-Based Photos

Google has already integrated Google Lens into many of their services to make it easier for users to search. This feature is also offered on Google Photos, allowing users to search for information about photos such as location, clothing brand and others.

Recently, Google Photos was seen testing a new search feature without Google Lens. If you're looking at photos in Photos, the Lens icon appears to have been replaced by the usual search icon, which is a magnifying glass with a gallery icon.

This search allows users to find other photos with the same person through face scans. Individual based image search is already supported, only now it can be searched by image and not limited to the search bar alone. This feature appears to be still in testing, as Google Photos on my Android and iOS devices still use Google Lens.
