Redmi is available with various types of earphones, either wired or wireless. Most of them feature similar design aspects, but are equipped with different internal hardware in order to meet the needs of today's users. The latest, Redmi Buds 4 Youth Edition has been announced as the most basic variant of the previous Redmi Buds 4 series.
The design used is similar to Apple AirPods which feature semi-open earphones with a stem. A 12mm audio driver is used with touch control support on the stem for ease of use. Also supported is an AI-based electronic noise cancellation system, followed by fast tethering through bluetooth 5.3 support.
The included battery can last up to 20 hours of use with the help of a charging pod. It then reduces to 5 hours with the earphones in sync. Other specifications include a USB-C port connection and passing the IP54 water and dust resistance rating which is suitable for light sports use. For the price, Redmi Buds 4 Youth Edition is sold at RMB139 (~RM101).
