Starlink Approved to Launch 7500 Second Generation Satellites by FCC

Starlink is an internet provider that uses satellites to transmit data to the earth's surface and promises speeds that can be seen fast enough for everyday use.

Recently, it has been reported that they have received approval to launch 7500 new satellites into space to further extend their internet services to new markets.

These satellites, called Starlink Gen 2, were developed to solve the problem of collisions between satellites in space, and also to avoid junk or satellites that are no longer actively used.

Starlink had initially requested to launch 30 thousand of these Gen 2 satellites, but so far only 7500 have been approved for launch.

So far it has not been announced yet when these satellites will be launched.
