Lightyear, the company behind the solar powered car is now announcing a new development phase in their company, which is the production phase of their first vehicle model, Lightyear 0.
For information, Lightyear 0 is a car powered by electricity, but can also be charged using sunlight. With this measure, users can keep charging the vehicle when used during the day.
It simultaneously overcomes the problem of the car needing to be connected to a charging bar every day, and also overcomes the problem of the lack of charging stations on the market today.
In fact, the developer also previously said that with the charging panel, it is able to supply power for trips of up to 70 kilometers per day.
According to Lightyear, they currently have the capacity to produce one vehicle per week, and are expected to increase it in the first quarter of 2023.
Previously, it was estimated that each vehicle might sell for as much as $1.16 million each.
