Microsoft Tests Facebook Messenger Widget For Windows 11

Since Windows 11 was introduced, Microsoft has returned widget support through a special panel that is easy for users to access. Just press the weather icon on the taskbar, this widget panel will be displayed. But until today, the only widgets offered are from Microsoft itself.

Recently via Windows 11 Insider Preview Build 25284, Microsoft started testing the Facebook Messenger widget. Indirectly, this widget becomes the first third-party widget that is not from Microsoft.

The use of this widget is also easy, where users only need to download the Messenger application through the Microsoft Store application store and open the widget panel, then press the "+" icon.

Support for these third-party widgets was only offered by Microsoft a few months ago through an updated Windows App SDK. This allows various developers to come up with their own Windows 11 widgets. But for now it is still uncertain, when it will be widely distributed and which other applications will offer this widget.
