Tweetbot development has already been terminated by Tapbots after access to the API was blocked by Twitter for all third-party application developers/Twitter clients. Tapbots, which has been focusing on developing Ivory, a client for Mastodon for several months, has now officially launched this application.
Like Tweetbot, Ivory is also limited to iOS, macOS and iPadOS users only. Ivory offers the experience of using Mastodon as if using Tweetbot with more or less the same interface, such as tabs for timelines, mentions, notifications, profiles, lists, and more. Multi-account support is also included if users have multiple Mastodon accounts.
Voting features, user mute, content warnings, bookmarks, statistics per post, GIFs, icon customization capabilities are also possible. The app is still in the early access phase, which means more features and functions will be added soon such as profile editing, post editing, and more.
Ivory is free for all Apple users to use with limited features and functionality. Full access can be tried for 7 days, then RM9.90 per month or RM69.90 per year. If users want to contribute/help Tapbots, a subscription of RM119.90 per year is also offered.
