Twitter has already abruptly turned off API access for third-party apps before, causing a number of Twitter apps developed by other developers to stop working.
Due to this also, one of the applications that is also affected is Tweetbot.
Now, its developers, Tweetbot, have stated that they will no longer develop Tweetbot due to the lack of API access – and are disappointed that their 10-year development was suddenly shut down by Twitter without any warning or notice.
Tweetbot developers also apologize to users who support and use Tweetbot.
In line with that, now the developers say that they will come up with a new application called Ivory soon – and it is intended for the shared use of social services based on Mastodon.
