Just about a month ago, Carl Pei stated that Nothing would be coming with a new smartphone anytime soon. But yesterday, Pei told Inverse that a more premium Nothing smartphone will launch this year – possibly a flagship device under the name Nothing Phone (2).
One device has been confirmed, now another product that has been leaked since last year may also arrive this year – Nothing Ear (2). Ear (2) is a replacement for Ear (1) which is their premium TWS compared to Ear (stick) which is more affordable.
The new leaked design looks similar to what we reported last year, only this time it's sharper and full of details. Ear (2) will remain using the same design as Ear (1), except for changes in the position of sensors and components. In addition, the charging frame is also seen to be rectangular with rounded corners and has a white block with no texture.
The position of the microphone is now seen to be on the stem with rearranged internal components. Specifications are still unclear, but this Ear (1) TWS uses 11.6mm graphene dynamic audio driver, tuned by Teenage Engineering, supports SBC and AAC codecs, comes with 3 HD microphones, supports active noise cancellation, IPX4 protection, wireless charging Qi and Bluetooth 5.2.
Let's all look forward to more information Nothing Ear (2).
