Through a short animation of around 3 minutes, Netflix Japan uses artificial intelligence-based graphics generation. Next, the generated graphics are integrated in the short animation.
This criticism is also in line with the state of the anime industry itself, which is often associated with low salary payments, including high pressure rates, and other things that are not in favor of artists.
Netflix Japan said this step was taken due to a lack of workers. However, this move was criticized by many because it was seen as Netflix avoiding paying artists by using artificial intelligence.
Netflix did not provide further comment on this matter. However, this may be an early step in the industry that we will see implemented more often in the future.
