Samsung has today launched their Samsung Galaxy S23 series, as the flagship device of the year. In addition to smartphones, Samsung also launched their Galaxy Book3 series, which is a new Windows 11 laptop. There are three main models which are the most premium Galaxy Book3 Ultra, Galaxy Book3 and also Galaxy Book3 360 with a touch screen that can be folded into a tablet.

Samsung Galaxy Book3 Ultra

This laptop comes with a 16-inch AMOLED screen with a resolution of 2880×1800 with a refresh rate of 120Hz and also HDR500 color support. It is powered by a choice of Intel Core i9-13900H processing chip matched with a choice of Nvidia GeForce RTX 4070 8GB RAM GDDR6 graphics card. Galaxy Book3 Ultra is built with aluminum material to look premium and weighs around 1.79 kg. The screen uses a thin bezel design, a full-size keyboard, the overall design also looks sexy. The position of the speaker is on the side so that the audio can be delivered well.

The Galaxy Book3 Ultra runs Windows 11 Home and also has a 76Wh battery with 100W fast charging support.

Samsung Galaxy Book3 Pro + Book3 Pro 360

This laptop is more towards a normal laptop for productivity and lighter tasks. It looks like a MacBook with a thin bezel screen without a notch, but retains the same aluminum build as the Ultra. The position of the touch pad is also strange because it is towards the left.

The screen size is 14-inch or 16-inch AMOLED with a display ratio of 16:10 with a resolution of 2880×1800, 120Hz and HDR500. The processing chip has an Intel Core i7-1360p option with an Intel Iris Xe graphics chip. Memory is 16GB LPDDR5 RAM and 512GB NVMe SSD internal storage. Connection ports are 3.5mm audio jack, 2x USB-C Thunderbolt 4, 1x USB-A 3.2, 2x USB-C 3.2 and HDMI. While WiFi 6 support, Bluetooth 5.1 and a microSD card reader are also maintained.

The Book3 Pro 360 model only has a 16-inch AMOLED screen with 120Hz refresh rate support and HDR500. The screen is also touch-type and can be folded 360 degrees for use with the S-Pen. The choice of processing chip is the same, which is the choice of up to Intel Core i5 or i7 of the 13th generation with a memory of only 16GB LPDDR5 RAM and internal storage of 512GB NVMe SSD.

This model is also heavier than the normal model which is 1.8 kg. The battery is 76Wh with 65W fast charging. Other specifications are the same as the regular Galaxy Book3 Pro.

Samsung Galaxy Book3 + Galaxy Book3 360

Like the Pro model, the build and design is more or less the same. But the Galaxy Book3 looks more normal because the touch pad is positioned in the middle like most laptops. This model is a model with a cheaper price compared to Pro and Ultra.

There is only one screen which is 15.6-inch IPS panel, refresh rate only 60Hz, resolution 1920×1080 FHD with display ratio 16:9. The processing chip also has options up to Intel Core i7-1355U, Intel Iris Xe graphics chip, memory up to 16GB LPDDR4X RAM and internal storage up to 512GB NVMe SSD.

WiFi 6, Bluetooth 5.1 support is still there with 1x USB-C Thunderbolt 4 connection port, 1x USB-A 3.2, 1x USB-C 3.2, 1x HDMI, 3.5mm audio jack and also a microSD card reader. The weight of 2.44 kg makes the Galaxy Book3 the heaviest Samsung laptop in this series. The audio system is basic stereo with Dolby Atmos without AKG and the webcam is also only HD. The battery is also small at 56Wh with 65W fast charging.

The Book3 360 model is offered with a choice of 13.3-inch or 15.6-inch AMOLED screen with 120Hz refresh rate support and HDR500. S-Pen support is also included because it uses a 360-degree foldable touch screen. The processing chip is more or less the same, which is an option up to the Intel Core i7-1360P – only this version uses the P series instead of the U.

Surprisingly, this model has a lighter mass of 1.82 kg and 2.24 kg compared to the normal model of 2.44 kg. The batteries are 61.1Wh and 68Wh with 65W fast charging. Other specifications are the same as the regular Galaxy Book3.

The selling price for the Galaxy Book3 Ultra model starts from RM10,238 (currency conversion from USD), while the Galaxy Book3 Pro/Book3 Pro 360 lineup reaches over RM8105 for the base model.

All Samsung Galaxy Book3 will not be marketed in Malaysia. Still not sure why these great laptops are not offered, because the interesting specifications and interesting design will surely be liked by many fans of Samsung devices.
